Terms of Service for Fork It

Effective date: November 4, 2026

Package name: com.forkit.randomrestaurant

Developer: Brock Hall (OrehRuoy)

The short version: you can use Fork It for personal use. It picks a random place open near you so you don't have to decide. The free version shows ads and includes a daily number of free picks. Fork It Plus is an optional one-time purchase through Google Play that removes ads and gives you more picks per day, and refunds follow Google Play's policy. Place details come from Google and may be out of date.

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Brock Hall, the independent developer who publishes Fork It as OrehRuoy ("we" or "us"). By downloading or using Fork It, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. License to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Fork It on devices you own or control. Your use is also subject to the terms of the store you got it from: the Google Play Terms of Service on Android, or Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions on iPhone. We keep all rights in the app, including its code, and artwork.

4. Third-party ads

Fork It shows banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. It does not show app-open ads, and ads load only after Google's consent flow finishes. Ads are provided by Google and its partners, and we do not control or endorse their content. Your dealings with any advertiser are between you and that advertiser. How Google handles ad data is described in our Privacy Policy. Fork It Plus turns these ads off.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Place information and third-party services

Fork It picks a place near you at random. Place details, including names, addresses, hours, ratings, reviews, and photos, come from Google Places and may be wrong or out of date. Please confirm a place is open before you go. We do not own, run, or endorse any restaurant, and we are not responsible for its food, service, prices, or safety. Fork It does not give allergy or dietary advice. Maps, navigation, and delivery links open other apps and sites under their own terms. Pay attention to the road and do not use the app while driving.

7. No warranty

Fork It is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be error-free or work on every device. Nearby search needs location permission and an internet connection.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages that arise from using or being unable to use Fork It. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

9. Changes to the app and these terms

We may update the app or change these terms. When the terms change, the date at the top of this page changes too. If you keep using Fork It after a change, you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the developer lives, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any consumer protections you have under the laws where you live.
