What's 4 Dinner

Effective date: November 4, 2026
Package name: com.whats4dinner.whats4dinner
Developer: Brock Hall (OrehRuoy) — hallanhype@gmail.com
The short version: you can use What's 4 Dinner for personal use. You spin to get a random dinner idea, and the app generates a recipe for it. The free version shows ads and has a daily spin limit. Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription through Google Play, which you cancel in Google Play, and refunds follow Google Play's policy. Recipes are AI-generated ideas, not dietary or allergy advice.

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Brock Hall, the independent developer who publishes What's 4 Dinner as OrehRuoy ("we" or "us"). By downloading or using What's 4 Dinner, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. License to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use What's 4 Dinner on devices you own or control. Your use is also subject to the terms of the store you got it from: the Google Play Terms of Service on Android, or Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions on iPhone. We keep all rights in the app, including its code, recipe content, and artwork.

3. Premium subscription

4. Third-party ads

What's 4 Dinner shows ads, such as banner and interstitial ads, through Google AdMob. Where required, Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) appears before ads. Ads are provided by Google and its partners, and we do not control or endorse their content. Your dealings with any advertiser are between you and that advertiser. How Google handles ad data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. AI-generated recipes

When you spin, What's 4 Dinner picks a dinner idea based on the spin filters you choose, such as food type, cook time, servings, and dietary or allergy selections. The recipe and sometimes the dish image are generated by Google's Gemini AI, and a recipe may be reused for other users. Generated recipes and images may contain mistakes, such as wrong quantities, cook times, or steps, and a dish photo may not match the recipe exactly.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Not dietary, allergy, or medical advice

Recipes in What's 4 Dinner are meal ideas only. They are not dietary, nutritional, allergy, or medical advice. Dietary and allergy filters are best-effort and may not catch every ingredient. Always read the full recipe and ingredient labels, check for allergens yourself, and follow safe food handling and cooking temperatures. If you have a food allergy or a medical diet, talk to a qualified professional.

8. No warranty

What's 4 Dinner is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be error-free or work on every device. Recipe search needs an internet connection and depends on third-party services.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages that arise from using or being unable to use What's 4 Dinner. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

10. Changes to the app and these terms

We may update the app or change these terms. When the terms change, the date at the top of this page changes too. If you keep using What's 4 Dinner after a change, you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the developer lives, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any consumer protections you have under the laws where you live.
